Job Title: People Advisor
Reports to: People Services Manager

Based: Hybrid, Burntwood Head office
Salary: Up to £35,000 DOE

You’ll provide practical guidance, coaching, and advice on employee relations, while contributing to a range of key projects. Responsibilities
* Providing timely and appropriate support and advice to CDs and ADs on People issues including conditions of service, employment law issues, disciplinary and grievance procedures, and performance and attendance management procedures.
* Coach, develop, and advise CDs and ADs to enable them to fully undertake their people management role.
* Provide information about People policies and procedures to employees as appropriate.
* Managing employee relations cases at all stages, including liaising with Legal support / ACAS as required.
* Support the development and maintenance of a performance management culture within Busy Bees. This includes developing managers skills in this area, leading on capability-related casework and advising and guiding managers through the relevant policies.
* Works with other teams within the People Team to deliver a co-ordinated and effective People service. This may include, for example, to assist in the design and delivery of development workshops in areas of HR best practice, to enhance knowledge and skills.
* Responsible for maintaining appropriate records including ensuring that records are compliant with relevant legislation and records management policies.
* Help ensure the People systems and information routes are maintained and fit for purpose.
* Help maintain a resource of factsheets, template letters and other supportive material including People intranet pages, based on current legislation and best practice.
* Attend and take notes at meetings within designated regions, such as complex grievance and disciplinary hearings and OD/AD’s area meetings when requested.
* Contribute to the development and maintenance of People policies and procedures; helping ensure consistency of People practice across Busy Bees.
* Support People Team as required with relevant strategic company-wide People initiatives.
* Close partnership working with relevant People Partner to support best in class service.
* Escalation of significant case work to People Partners, People Services Manager and Head of People & Culture.
Key skills & Experience
* At least 3 years’ experience working within a HR/People Service
* Strong knowledge/experience of Employee Relations casework
* Broad relevant sector experience
* Strong coaching / influencing skills.
* Desirable - Level 5 CIPD
