CREDIT RISK
Credit Risk is responsible for managing the firm's credit exposure to its trading and lending counterparties. Credit professionals protect the Firm’s capital by leveraging expertise in financial analysis of clients, markets, and products to make risk decisions. Credit Risk provides a unique opportunity to develop a variety of professional skills and expertise in risk management while working on financial transactions and gaining a broad perspective on how the entire Firm functions. The interaction with numerous departments and the wide range of projects allow for a challenging, varied, and multi-dimensional work environment. JOB DESCRIPTION
The Credit Risk Asset Secured Lending team within Global Banking & Markets is looking for a Vice President. The team's activity includes risk management of asset-backed financing (and other types of strategic capital) to institutional clients of the firm, secured by portfolios of public equity, private equity, private credit, and other asset classes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Risk underwriting assets-based financing (e.g., loans secured by Public / Private Equity), including review of transactions, participating in the approval process, and making recommendations on risk appetite.
* Review lending transactions while ensuring appropriate risk mitigants to protect against default and minimize potential losses.
* Represent credit views to Risk Committee members.
* Interact with regulators as part of the ongoing supervision process.
* Develop and manage relationships with colleagues from the broader Risk division as well as with other areas of the firm.
* Perform sector/asset analysis regularly to assess portfolio concentration or trends.
* Monitor, manage, and report exposures at a counterparty, product, and portfolio level.
SKILLS AND RELEVANT EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
* At least 6-8 years of relevant experience in credit analysis.
* Experience covering Asset Secured Lending is desirable but not strictly required.
* Knowledge of lending products, including structured non-vanilla transactions, and experience in negotiating trading documentation.
* Strong interest and familiarity with Equity asset class and Private Equity Industry.
* Keeps up-to-date with relevant market trends.
