About The Role
Are you someone who enjoys working closely with people and making a real difference in their day-to-day lives? We are looking for a Scheme Manager to join our Neighbourhoods team, supporting older customers across our sheltered schemes. This is a hands-on role where you will help create safe, welcoming environments and build strong relationships with residents, colleagues, and the wider community.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain high standards of security, cleanliness, and general maintenance across the scheme, liaising with contractors and monitoring performance.
* Support residents by providing guidance on accessing external services, conducting health and safety checks, and maintaining accurate records.
* Manage communal areas including furniture, fittings, guest rooms, and bookings, ensuring everything is fit for purpose and welcoming.
* Welcome new customers with scheme inductions, assist with benefit/support claims, and coordinate property inspections and repairs.
* Promote community engagement by enabling social and leisure activities and building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Ensure tenancy compliance, addressing breaches and anti-social behaviour in line with policy, and working with enforcement teams as needed.

This role is being offered on a part time, fixed term contract until April 2026. The successful candidate will be working 18.5 hours per week from Monday to Wednesday. This is field based covering the South Hams area with Exeter as the nearest office.

About The Candidate
To be successful in your application for the role of Scheme Manager - Neighbourhoods, you will have the essential skills and experience for a level 1 role (please see candidate information pack) and the following role specific skills and experience:
* Experience in a customer facing role with a focus on improving customer satisfaction and delivering excellent service to all customers.
* Ability to reflect on working practices to enhance performance to deliver improved value for money.
* Ability to work effectively with key partners to deliver shared objectives.
* Awareness of impact and appropriateness of own personal style, and able to persuade and negotiate with others. Understanding of professional boundaries.
* Good IT skills including knowledge of MS Office suite.
* Full, valid UK driving licence.
* Desirable: Experience of working within the social housing sector or providing services to customers of registered providers.
* Desirable: Demonstrable working knowledge and understanding of issues relating to older people and provision of services in the locality.
* Desirable: CIH relevant level qualification (or equivalent experience through work or study).
