Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 (depending on experience)
Location: Rochester, Kent
Hours:
1. Monday to Thursday: 08:15 - 17:00
2. Friday: 08:30 - 13:15

We are currently recruiting for an experience and proactive Quality Engineer to join our clients Quality teams based at their Rochester site. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a manufacturing environment, enjoys solving complex quality issues, and is confident working with both customers and suppliers.
You will play a key role in maintaining and improving our clients quality systems, supporting production, and ensuring compliance with industry standards, including AS9100.
Key Responsibilities:
3. Managing supplier approval status and supporting supplier audits
4. Operating and maintaining the CAPA (RCCA) system
5. Managing standards, specifications, and documentation control
6. Supporting APQP, PPAP and New Product Introduction activities
7. Conducting First Article Inspections and managing concessions
8. Supporting internal, customer, and supplier visits and audits
9. Maintaining and updating the risk register
10. Generating and maintaining manufacturing routes within MRP
11. Contract review and configuration control
12. Accurate record keeping and ongoing systems development
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Essential:
13. Experience working within an AS9100 quality environment
14. Background in a manufacturing environment
15. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to support/lead improvement teams
16. Excellent communication and organisational skills
17. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Desirable:
18. Experience with NADCAP or specialist process accreditations
19. Lean Six Sigma knowledge
20. Internal and/or external auditing experience or qualifications
21. Full UK driving licence
