SEN Teaching Assistants - SEN Secondary School (Southampton)

We are seeking experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to join a dedicated SEN secondary school in Southampton. This is an excellent opportunity to support students with a range of special educational needs in a specialist setting, helping them achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
Provide tailored support to students with complex learning, behavioural, and communication needs.
Assist teachers in delivering adapted lessons and modifying resources to meet individual requirements.
Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing within the classroom.
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
Support pupils in developing independence, confidence, and social skills.
Requirements
Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is essential.
Strong communication skills and a patient, empathetic approach.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and adapt to different classroom environments.
A proactive attitude and commitment to supporting student progress.
