Salary: £12.99 - £13.89 per hour (£23,210 - £24,818 actual salary dependent on qualifications), Plus £1000 Welcome bonus*
Hours: 40 hours per week, Term Time only

About the role
Reed Education are working with an SEN school based in Smallfield, Surrey with their recruitment for an SEN teaching assistant. This role would be to support students from Year 2 to Year 6 with communication and social interaction difficulties, typically associated with Autism. They are seeking a compassionate and motivated Teaching Assistant to enhance their learning environment.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
* Establish a warm, caring, and supportive relationship with pupils to help them feel safe and enjoy their learning experience.
* Promote and encourage independence and personal development among students.
* Support the Class Teacher in the daily operations of the class.
* Adapt to the varying and changing needs of the school, including some physical intervention as needed (full training provided).
* Promote pupils’ cognitive, social, emotional, behavioural, physical development, and spiritual well-being.
Required Skills & Qualifications
* GCSE Maths and English qualification minimum Grade 4 or equivalent.
* Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification (desirable but not essential).
* Experience working in a special school environment is highly desirable.
* Team TEACH Training (desirable).
