To lead the asset management and investment function of the Property Team, ensuring the council’s investment and commercial estate delivers strong financial returns and remains fit for purpose. The role focuses on optimising property and portfolio performance across rental and capital growth, operational efficiency, occupier and employee satisfaction, and environmental impact. It involves strategic planning, performance analysis, and portfolio rationalisation, working closely with the Senior Operational Asset Lead Manager to maximise value and meet mandatory requirements.
We are looking for someone who has demonstrable experience of driving investment returns from local authority owned commercial property through active asset management and property knowledge yet having a thorough understanding of the implications of delivering projects in a political organisation and an understanding and awareness of political sensitivities.
