We are looking for a reliable, proactive and hardworking Cleaning Technician to join our Cleaning Team for a 7 week fixed term period via agency. Find out more about the work we do here: Citizen Position: Agency Temp Cleaning Technician Salary: £24,897 (paid an hourly rate via an agency) Location: Hereford – driving licence required Key Responsibilities: Cleaning & Maintenance Clean internal and external communal areas in blocks of flats to a high standard, including: Entrances, stairs, corridors, carpets, floors, walls, windows, lifts Bin rooms, rubbish chute hoppers, and tenant areas Use a variety of cleaning methods such as washing, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, buffing, polishing, and dusting. Remove litter from around blocks and communal areas. Remove sacks and refuse from communal parts, referring bulk waste to the correct team. Flush and disinfect drains and gullies. Remove small‑scale graffiti using hand wipes. Safely handle and dispose of biohazards following procedure. Support overall cleanliness and safety across the estate. Safety & Compliance Conduct and record daily and weekly checks including: Fire alarm tests Emergency lighting checks Carry out block inspections, responding promptly to hazards, spillages, or urgent cleaning needs. Check bin chutes and access points for blockages or cleanliness issues and take action in line with procedures. Report repairs or maintenance needs to the appropriate Supervisor. What We’re Looking For: Previous cleaning experience (ideally in communal or public spaces) Basic Health & Safety knowledge relevant to cleaning environments and associated equipment. Comfortable working in varied and sometimes challenging environments Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering quality work Willingness to complete basic paperwork and compliance checks (training provided) Full UK driving licence Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
