Job Description
CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting for a general operative to join our Facilities team located on site at Syngenta, Bracknell.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a service for all Goods-in deliveries and mail handling, as well as being accountable for receiving goods, booking in, correct distribution, and delivering the goods received across our client's International Research centre. The campus, on the outskirts of Bracknell, comprises a varied mix of buildings including offices, laboratories, and glasshouses.
Key Accountabilities
1. Unloading and delivery of heavy goods/pallets on site using the forklift.
2. Moving goods around with pallet trucks or trollies, depending on size.
3. Loading and unloading freight vehicles, trucks, and vans in line with H&S procedures.
4. Physical movement of stock, including unpacking and loading onto shelves within stores.
5. Receiving, entering, and transferring items into relevant delivery cages for delivery across the site via company vehicle or forklift.
6. Handling customer email and telephone enquiries professionally.
7. Recording incoming goods, couriers, freight, parcels, recorded and registered mail, maintaining accurate records.
8. Ensuring all packages and mail are collected, sorted, and distributed correctly across the site's buildings.
9. Processing courier requirements and investigating lost packages or unidentified mail.
10. Ordering items such as gloves, recyclable cups, and plastic bags, maintaining stock levels.
11. Maintaining printer cartridges and replenishing stationery supplies as necessary.
12. Fulfilling Syngenta gas cylinder orders, including installation/swapping and maintaining cylinder hoses.
13. Maintaining and replenishing stock of solvents, consumables, and PPE via online systems.
14. Following all Health & Safety and Environmental requirements, reporting hazards, accidents, and emergencies.
15. Undertaking manual handling training and understanding emergency procedures related to goods in.
16. Maintaining tidiness of goods, ensuring packing and pallets are removed as required.
17. Assisting during peak times with grounds and waste teams, with onsite training provided.
Personal Experience/Qualifications/Skills
* Full clean driving license
* Good communication skills (written and verbal)
* IT skills including MS Office and database experience
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Ability to prioritize workload effectively
* Experience in a Goods in environment
* Customer service orientation
* Understanding of workplace health and safety and manual handling
