Job Responsibilities
* Serve as the Senior Payroll Specialist responsible for processing and reporting payroll for France.
* Maintain a strong understanding of French payroll regulations, including various types of statutory leave.
* Accurately transfer employee data from the HR system of record to the payroll system, ensuring earnings and deductions comply with legal, tax, and company requirements.
* Collaborate with HR and HR Shared Services to streamline payroll processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce errors.
* Process employee Time and Attendance data from the Time and Labour system, validating entries using standard reports.
* Execute payroll close procedures, including reconciling payroll reports with source documents and upstream systems; generate payroll analysis reports to support financial close and journal entry preparation.
* Contribute to the payroll team by promoting standardised processes, maintaining internal controls (SOX compliance), and applying payroll best practices.
* Submit monthly reports and declarations as required by French authorities.
* Provide ad hoc statistical data to authorities as needed.
* Support payroll tax audits.
* Ensure timely resolution of employee queries.
* Perform additional tasks as required, including supporting other EMEA payrolls within the team.
Job Qualifications
* Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* Experience working with a large ERP system and/or payroll provider, including high‑volume payroll processing (675+ employees).
* Proven experience in French payroll.
* Fluency in French (written and spoken).
* Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
* Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion.
* Strong collaborator with excellent communication, organizational, time‑management, and prioritization skills.
