An exciting opportunity for a competent, motivated, enthusiastic and professional person has become available at Woodlands Animal Sanctuary, Holmeswood, Lancashire.
We are currently seeking an efficient, hardworking, organised and knowledgeable animal care assistant.
The role will include but isn't limited to:
* Animal care to a high standard
* Welcoming customers and visitors on site (front of house)
* Management and organisation of paper work and records
* Participating in fundraising activities and open days for the Sanctuary
* Co-ordination and organisation of both regular and new volunteers on a daily basis
* Management of your own work area and the welfare of animals within it
* Some lone work will be involved as well as working as part of a small team
* The position will be all day Saturday, Sunday and Monday morning (19 hours in total)
The successful candidate will have:
* Confidence in talking to a wide variety of people
* Have excellent communication skills
* The ability to work calmly under pressure
* The ability to be self-motivated and disciplined working in an ever changing environment. Full training will be given
* Previous experience in a commercial setting is essential
* Level 3 or equivalent qualification preferred.
