We are currently recruiting for a Regional Operations Manager to cover our depots across our Southeast region (Chelmsford, Maidstone, Sandy, Horsham, Garboldisham.)
The Role:
The Regional Operations Manager (ROM) will drive operational excellence and ensure successful operational delivery, including Health and Safety excellence. Responsible for five depots within the region and line management responsibility the five depot managers. The successful candidate will form a high performing and collaborative team to ensure that regional goals are met and exceeded. The ROM will be accountable for hitting agreed financial and non-financial metrics for their assigned depots contributing towards growth and development of the business within the region. They will also ensure that the culture within the region and depots is in line with our company values.
Key responsibilities:
· Responsible for the delivery of work performed in the region, job set up, job delivery and maintenance and job close. Ensuring excellent customer service for customers and that planning, CAD planning and scheduling enables great delivery.
· Oversee the smooth and safe running of the operations to ensure achievement of performance targets, including meeting objectives of safety, revenue, profitability and cash flow generation and customer KPIs.
· Control spend and ensure high levels of productivity through resource sharing (People, Plant, Vehicles and Equipment) across Depots to maximise efficiency and deliver positive customer outcomes.
· Make sure that planned and reactive vehicle and equipment maintenance has minimal disruption to regional operations.
· Support Operational Teams to ensure swift invoicing and cash collection within the Region.
· Regularly visit depots across the region and be hands-on with the Depot Managers and work force. Encourage strong communication throughout the region and between functions and depots.
· Ensure a strong handover of secured sales to operations, including contract, KPI's and client expectations.
· Support the Regional Director in setting the annual business plan and ensure that the region delivers against this by undertaking regular project and contract health-checks.
· Ensure that Depots deliver against business and operational KPI's.
· Ensure business policies, governance and processes are followed to support Regional outcomes.

This role will involve regular travel between our depots in the Southeast of England.
