Due to our continuing success and as we continue to expand as a company and within our Building Surveying team in Oxford; we are now seeking a passionate and driven individual who is looking for their next opportunity as a Chartered Building Surveyor to join our team and with the opportunity to progress to senior surveyor and beyond. This will be an active role with a mix of time in the office, at our idyllic headquarters offices in the grounds of Blenheim Palace, along with essential visits to various sites across the UK. Team overview You’ll be joining a new team with a focus on several key client accounts. You will be providing technical support to prestigious clients with varied national property portfolios. As we grow and develop within the team you will need to demonstrate the capability of eventually managing individual team members including picking up and organising their project work and where necessary, assisting them on projects. As a Chartered Building Surveyor your role will include: Lead and develop detailed briefs in conjunction with the Client and senior colleagues Establish and maintain client relationships Support business development activities by senior colleagues Produce designs and specifications including preparation of tender documentation Administering JCT building contracts Undertake all aspects of professional surveying work (including condition surveys, specific defect analysis, party wall consultancy, dilapidations and reinstatement cost assessment valuations. Liaise with clients, contractors and other consultants (internal and external) Assist the team leader with mentoring and control of project finances Experience and skills required MRICS Chartered Have experience of advising on commercial, retail or educational properties either in the public or private sector Demonstrate advanced Microsoft office skills Competent with NBS Chorus but this is not essential Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel within the UK The role will require you to be the key point of contact with our prestigious clients, therefore a high level of communication skills and commercial awareness are essential for being successful in this role.
