Overview
We are excited to recruit a Consultant Clinical Psychologist to lead the provision of psychological input across the Fylde and Wyre Children and Young People's Mental Health (CYPMH) Service. The post-holder will be expected to set direction, provide clinical leadership and supervision for the psychologists and psychological therapists in the team (including professional governance of non-core professionals trained in a psychological therapy who use this as part of their role), and provide specialist psychological expertise into the wider multi-disciplinary CYPMH service.
Responsibilities
* Lead the provision of psychological input across the Fylde and Wyre CYPMH Service.
* Set direction and provide clinical leadership and supervision for psychologists and psychological therapists.
* Provide professional governance of non-core professionals trained in psychological therapy.
* Provide specialist psychological expertise into the wider multi-disciplinary CYPMH service.
* Contribute to research and clinical approaches to domains such as neuro-diversity or emerging personality problems/developmental trauma across the Trust.
* Share expertise with practitioners from other localities.
* Demonstrate experience in service development and redesign during the Trust’s transformation.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Track record of leadership skills.
* Expertise in at least one model of intervention.
* Specific interest in at least one of the domains: neuro‑diversity or emerging personality problems/developmental trauma.
* Additional specialist interests that add value to the role are welcomed.
* Ability to contribute to research and clinical approaches across the Trust.
* Experience in service development and transformation.

* Primary and secondary mental health care for children and adults, including specialist inpatient child and adolescent mental health provision, perinatal mental health, and forensic services with low and medium secure care.
* Specialist mental health inpatient care for individuals with learning disabilities, alongside specialist community support for children and adults with learning disabilities and autism, including intensive support.
