As part of our continued growth, we are looking to hire a Commissioning Manager to lead and deliver projects to the highest standards. Role Overview As a Commissioning Manager, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing the full lifecycle of commissioning activities across a range of complex, high-value commercial and mission-critical projects. You will act as the key point of contact between clients, contractors, and project stakeholders to ensure that building services systems are delivered in line with design intent, performance criteria, and industry standards. Salary: Up to £100,000 DOE or £400 - £500 per day Key Responsibilities Manage the commissioning process from design stage through to project handover. Develop and implement commissioning plans, strategies, and programmes. Review design documentation and specifications to ensure commissioning requirements are incorporated. Coordinate and witness testing and commissioning activities for MEP systems, including HVAC, power, lighting, BMS, fire alarm, and critical systems. Interface with client teams, main contractors, and specialist subcontractors to ensure seamless project delivery. Produce and maintain commissioning progress reports, dashboards, and technical documentation. Lead commissioning meetings, chair workshops, and resolve issues on site. Ensure that commissioning activities are compliant with relevant standards (e.g. CIBSE, BSRIA, ASHRAE, etc.). Deliver clear and concise final commissioning reports and handover documentation. Support clients during post-occupancy and seasonal commissioning stages as required. Requirements Essential: Proven experience in a commissioning management role, ideally within a consultancy environment. Demonstrable track record in delivering commercial office and/or data centre projects. Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical building services systems. Understanding of industry commissioning processes and standards (e.g. BSRIA BG6/BG8, CIBSE). Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work to tight deadlines. Excellent communication, coordination, and reporting skills. Right to work in the UK. Desirable: Degree or HND in Building Services, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering. Membership of professional bodies (e.g. CIBSE, IET, IMechE). Experience with LEED, BREEAM, or WELL certification processes. Experience commissioning in live or critical environments (e.g. Tier III/IV data centres).
