Your Responsibilities
As the Major Projects Team Lead, you will:
* Support the Head of Service (Building Services) in managing the business, collaborating with Electrical and Mechanical Team Leaders to coordinate solutions for all allocated works, including major and minor new builds, refurbishments, and minor works.
* Develop and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external clients, managing utilization and achieving monthly/annual metrics for the teams within service line agreed targets.
* Deliver quality output while effectively managing team utilization levels, balancing capabilities and resource levels with available workload, and maintaining high standards for product delivery.
* Oversee designs and advice, including feasibility studies and condition reports, while liaising with other teams to ensure effective delivery.
* Maintain regular communication with management on all matters affecting output, progress, cost, and risks, and actively participate in business development efforts.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if you:
* Are a Chartered Engineer and member of CIBSE or IET, with a degree in Mechanical Building Services or Electrical Engineering, along with significant experience in a similar role.
* Have a proven track record of managing and driving a multi-discipline technical/engineering team towards sustainable performance against challenging business targets.
* Can communicate complex technical concepts in a way that is easily understood by a wider business audience.
* Understand the application of quality procedures and document control in engineering design.
* Can meet the BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) requirements.
