The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Geography Teacher to join this prestigious school starting February 2025.
This role is suitable for experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs), with responsibilities including teaching Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4, and potentially A-Level depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging Geography lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, ensuring differentiation to meet all students' needs.
* Foster understanding of geographical concepts, from physical landscapes to global issues, helping students connect theory with real-world applications.
* Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative methods, providing constructive feedback.
* Promote critical thinking by integrating case studies, data, and current events into lessons.
* Support independent learning through projects, field trips, and use of geographical technologies.
* Collaborate with colleagues to share resources and improve teaching practices.
* Organize geography-related extracurricular activities, including clubs and field trips.
* Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and behaviour.
* Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment supporting students’ personal development.
* Stay updated with educational developments, incorporating new strategies and resources.
Minimum Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Experience teaching Geography at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
* Strong understanding of the Geography curriculum and assessment techniques.
* Degree in Geography or related field (desirable).
* Passion for teaching and inspiring students.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
