We have an opportunity for a National Account Executive to join our Commercial Team in Hamilton. Finsbury Food Group is a leading speciality bakery manufacturer that continually raises quality and efficiency standards and builds long‑term relationships with major retailers and the foodservice channel.
Location & Working Hours
Location: Hamilton
Shift: Monday to Friday
Salary: Competitive + Benefits
The role offers hybrid working based at Hamilton, with a requirement to be on-site at least 3 days per week. On occasion you may visit other sites (Manchester, Sheffield, Glasgow, Cardiff or Salisbury) or customer locations for meetings on a weekly or monthly basis, depending on the requirement.
Role Overview
The National Account Executive will support the Senior Business Manager in the day‑to‑day management of the grocery retail accounts. The key responsibilities include the following:
* Serve as the primary administrative contact for external retail customers, handling promotional and new product set‑up.
* Run sales reports, analyse performance data and respond to customer requests.
* Maintain strong relationships with grocery retail customers and deliver a positive customer experience.
* Collaborate cross‑functionally with category, finance, brand and development teams to support customer sell‑ins and new product development.
* Support the Business Manager in account control and reporting.
* Show strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Qualifications
* Proven work experience as a National Account Executive or a relevant sales role.
* Strong IT skills with experience in MS Office, particularly Excel.
* Understanding of sales principles and ability to deliver excellent customer experience.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to build relationships.
* Effective presentation and negotiation skills.
* High degree of professionalism.
* Good time‑management skills with a problem‑solving attitude.
* BSc degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a relevant field.
