About the Role
We are seeking a
Shift Engineer
to join our dynamic and forward-thinking team in Bromborough. With recent investments in new equipment and greenhouse gas (GHG) initiatives, we are building a strong foundation for the future of the site. This role is pivotal in ensuring the reliability and safety of our manufacturing equipment, supporting continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain all site assets to a high standard, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
Execute planned and reactive maintenance activities safely and efficiently.
Drive plant reliability through hands-on interventions, improvements, and analysis.
Apply and communicate robust safe systems of work and risk assessments.
Deliver on Engineering Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Support the development of standards for equipment and facilities.
Manage engineering stock control and ensure accurate system records.
Coach and train production colleagues to enhance equipment knowledge and performance.
Promote a culture of professional engineering and continuous improvement.
Requirements
Recognised qualification in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.
BTEC Engineering Certificate or equivalent.
Broad knowledge of Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Mechanical, Electrical, PLCs, and Inverter Assets.
Experience in risk assessment and safe maintenance practices.
Competence in working with high-hazard equipment and safe isolation procedures.
