Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and creative Senior Social Media Manager to lead and elevate our social media presence. This pivotal role will develop and execute innovative social media strategies that change the perception of our brand, engage global followers, and win new business.
Job Type: Full-time, permanent
Salary: up to £60,000 per annum
Working Hours: 9:00 am – 5:30 pm Monday to Friday
Location: Blackburn
Key Responsibilities
 * Social Strategy & Planning: Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with the company’s marketing and communications objectives, defining target audiences, platform‑specific approaches, content pillars, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
 * Content Creation & Management: Oversee the creation of engaging, high‑quality content across all social media platforms (X/Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn), manage the content calendar, and think tactically about trends and events.
 * Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of social media executives and content creators, fostering a collaborative, high‑performing environment.
 * Community Engagement & Growth: Develop and implement strategies to foster a vibrant, engaged online community, monitoring channels for sentiment and trends, and proactively engaging with ambassadors, influencers, and customers to attract new audiences.
Accountability – What You Are Responsible For Delivering
 * Growth & KPI’s: Including traffic and revenue targets, ultimately increasing CVR% of followers into customers.
 * Content Delivery: Seamless and professional delivery of engaging content across our social channels.
 * Content Strategy & Planning: The thought and meaning behind the content.
 * Influencer, ambassador and UGC (content from our followers).
Capability – Skills and Behaviours
 * Proven experience in developing and executing successful social media strategies and campaigns that drive engagement, growth, and commercial outcomes.
 * Strong understanding of all major social media platforms, their algorithms, best practices, and emerging trends.
 * Experience with social media management tools, analytics platforms, and content creation software.
 * A genuine passion for sports (preferably endurance sports) and an understanding of the health & fitness industry, and the science behind sports nutrition.
Performance – How You Will Be Evaluated
 * Engagement & Reach KPI’s (campaign based)
 * CVR% (followers into customers) & Revenue
 * NPS / Reputational KPI’s (awareness based)
Attributes – Experience and Mindset
 * Demonstrable experience managing social media for a high‑profile organisation, ideally within the sports or health/fitness industry.
 * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
 * Experience in leading and managing a team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
 * Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to inform strategic decision‑making.
 * Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
