We are currently recruiting for a Trainee Transport Operator - 4on/4off to join our successful Transport department based in Northampton. As the Trainee Transport Operator, you will be trained to be responsible for supporting our Transport Operators / Planners with the day to day operations.

Duties & Responsibilities:
* Briefing and debriefing drivers
* General office administrative tasks such as paperwork filing.
* Assisting Transport planners
* Monitoring daily trailer counts
* Yard Checks
* Actively seeking additional work wherever possible from Transport Planners and Management
* Ability to communicate effectively with the customer service teams and drivers
* Working as part of an efficient and fast paced team
* Maintain high standards of good housekeeping, including your workstation and environment
* Maintain health and safety standards, and actively report observations & concerns
We are looking for candidates to apply who have the following:
* Previous experience within Transport or similar environment – Preferred not essential
* Must be happy to work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern
* Competent IT skills
* Clear communicator – written and verbal
* Highly personable and can work well in a team
* Great attention to detail
