Location – Normanton An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commissioning Engineer to join the team at Galliford Try within our Environment Business.
What you will be doing:
This is a highly demanding key role with key inputs throughout the project lifecycle associated with the Region / Framework delivery.
As the Commissioning Engineer, you will ensure the efficient delivery of the Mechanical Electrical ICA (MEICA) and the commissioning of the assigned projects, working closely with the Senior Project Manager/Project Managers and the Senior Commissioning Engineer and/or Commissioning Manager in the MEICA & Commissioning delivery on the project up to Takeover, including all associated document deliverables. This will include ensuring the site is fully commissioned and MEICA takeover requirements are delivered to the wider project team in a timely manner.
The role encompasses input to the design process, providing a commissioning overview to the project team, preparing detailed procedures to cover the commissioning activities and ensuring the availability of records demonstrating the configuration/testing completed.
To ensure that the MEICA installation activities are completed to the project programmes and in a sequence that promotes efficient commissioning.
To support the Project Manager in the successful handover of the projects through collaborative management of snags/defects and demonstrating that quality criteria are met through completion of a performance test process.
About You:
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the water industry.
* Experience in site management and delivery of MEICA/Commissioning and managing the interface with the client on a regular basis, including the prompt resolution of issues affecting project progress.
* Demonstration of MEICA & Commissioning delivery through a successful project Takeover.
* Effectiveness and approach in the delivery of MEICA & Commissioning to meet project timelines and Takeover.
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications to facilitate the creation and presentation of reports as required.
* Understanding of health, safety and environmental approaches.
* Understanding of water industry processes.
* Understanding of mechanical and electrical equipment used in the water industry.
* A structured approach to the commissioning of plant, equipment and processes used within the water industry.
