Overview
Key Duties (Including but not limited to):
* Contribute to the delivery of quarterly Reserving updates, ensuring accurate and timely insights that support key business decisions.
* Work closely with stakeholders across claims, pricing, and risk teams to analyze data, provide recommendations, and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
* Lead specific projects, mentor and coach junior team members, and drive the execution of business-as-usual activities.
* Contribute to cross-functional initiatives, improving processes and delivering innovative solutions to enhance actuarial practices.
Qualifications required:
* Be a newly or part-qualified actuary with a strong background in General Insurance (GI) Reserving, bringing extensive knowledge and experience.
* Hold an honours degree (2:1 or above) in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related field with significant mathematical content.
* Have at least 3 A-levels (or equivalent) at grade B or above (including mathematics).
Experience required:
* Proficiency in reserving software ResQ and tools like SQL, Excel, and Power BI.
* Deep knowledge of current industry developments and regulatory frameworks.
* Strong understanding of actuarial techniques.
