Systems Manager
Starting salary £54,207 to 62,661 depending on experince plus 10% bonus & 25 days annual leave, plus pension
Permanent, Full time 41 hours per week

About the role
The Systems Manager is a key member of the engineering leadership team within a busy mail processing centre. You'll lead engineering teams to ensure safe, compliant, and cost-effective maintenance of automation assets, while driving performance across key business indicators.
With a focus on asset management and technical reliability, you'll support and coach colleagues to deliver consistent workplan clearance and a high-quality customer experience. You'll also lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, efficiency, and operational performance.
About You
You're a strong leader with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. You can explain technical issues clearly, make informed decisions, and drive team performance.
You understand maintenance strategies, asset management, and how to use data and technology to improve automation reliability and operational outcomes.
Skills & Experience
* Experience managing safety in an automated environment
* Team leadership and problem-solving skills
* Knowledge of TPM, Lean, and continuous improvement
* Ability to analyse data to support performance
Qualifications
* Engineering or scientific qualification (or working towards)
* Professionally registered (or working towards) with a recognised institute
* PUWER/CE assessor qualified or willing to train
