About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Specialist Registrar in Breast Surgery to join our team in the West Midlands. This is a fixed-term contract starting immediately and running until the end of June 2023. The successful candidate will also be required to cover General Surgery on call, participating in a 1 in 6 on-call rota.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide high-quality care and management for patients undergoing breast surgery.
* Assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of breast cancer patients.
* Perform a range of breast surgical procedures under the supervision of senior consultants.
* Participate in General Surgery on-call duties as part of a 1 in 6 rota.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
* Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
* Contribute to clinical audits, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
* Medical degree and full GMC registration.
* Specialist training in Breast Surgery.
* Experience in General Surgery is essential.
* Strong clinical and surgical skills.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
