Our Civil Engineering graduates gain experience on global projects alongside multidisciplinary teams. You’ll develop skills in hydraulic, structural and environmental design through calculations, reporting, and engineering software, with support from experienced engineers.
What you’ll do
* Undertake numerical analysis using computer‑based programmes for potable, surface, and wastewater systems.
* Carry out technical and feasibility studies for alternative solutions in potable, foul, surface water, and attenuation requirements, including appropriate calculations.
* Perform structural analysis and design, determining design situations, load cases, and using analysis software.
* Produce designs of water infrastructure such as pump systems and pipe networks, creating Designer’s Risk Assessment documents.
* Check and consolidate final working drawings produced by technicians.
* Keep up‑to‑date with regulatory legislation and guidelines affecting design work.
* Collaborate with team members on technical work, site work, and project management.
* Participate in site visits to understand how designs are implemented.

Qualifications
* BEng in Civil or Structural Engineering, 2:1 classification (or equivalent).
* MEng in Civil, Structural, or Water Engineering MSc is an advantage.
* Water‑related modules and relevant work experience are advantages.
* Enthusiastic, hard‑working, technically proficient with ambition and drive.
* Basic computer skills (Word/Excel) and good report writing skills.
* Willing and able to work towards professional qualifications such as ICE & CIWEM.
* Demonstrable interest in water projects and ability to consider financial and commercial implications.
* Effective communication with internal and external clients, both verbally and in writing.
* Strong organisational skills, prioritising work effectively with the team.
* Ability to work independently while maintaining initiative and focus.
