Sales Manager
Location: Blackpool (Hybrid) + UK Travel
Salary: £60,000 base + very generous commission structure
🚀 The Opportunity
We’re partnering with a private equity-backed engineering services business on an exciting growth journey, with a current turnover of circa £20m and clear plans to scale significantly over the coming years.
They’ve built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality electrical solutions across commercial environments and now they’re looking for a Sales Manager to take ownership of the commercial function and play a pivotal role in driving the next phase of growth.
This is more than just a sales role it’s an opportunity to build, shape, and lead a function, with genuine influence and visibility at board level.
⚡ What You’ll Be Driving
You’ll take full ownership of sales strategy and execution across a broad and growing service offering, including electrical installation, maintenance, compliance, and renewable energy solutions (solar, battery storage, EV charging).
Key focus areas include:
Developing and delivering a UK-wide sales strategy aligned with ambitious growth targets
Identifying and unlocking new opportunities across commercial, FM, retail, and public-sector markets
Building and leading a high-performing sales / business development team as the company scales
Leading key bids, tenders, and commercial negotiations
Establishing long-term, high-value client relationships
Collaborating closely with operational and technical teams to ensure seamless delivery

🧠 What They’re Looking For
Proven experience in a Sales Manager or senior BD role ideally within electrical contracting, M&E, or construction
Strong knowledge of UK markets including compliance, installation, and/or renewables
A track record of winning new business and exceeding revenue targets
Experience with tenders, frameworks, and commercial negotiations
Leadership capability with the ambition to build and grow a team
A proactive, strategic mindset with strong commercial awareness
(Experience across FM, retail rollouts, public sector, or green energy is a strong advantage)
