Overview:
A leading food manufacturer is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to oversee and improve production operations at their Glasgow facility. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on leader with a strong background in food manufacturing, ideally with exposure to lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations across multiple production lines
* Drive safety, quality, and performance targets in line with site KPIs
* Implement and embed lean manufacturing techniques to improve efficiency
* Manage and mentor shift managers and production teams
* Monitor and control departmental budgets and resources
* Collaborate with engineering, technical, and planning teams to ensure smooth operations
* Lead site initiatives in continuous improvement and OEE tracking
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a similar Manufacturing Manager or Production Manager role within food manufacturing
* Strong leadership skills with a track record of developing high-performing teams
* Excellent understanding of lean manufacturing or Six Sigma (certification desirable)
* Strong knowledge of food safety, compliance, and site H&S practices
* Ability to analyse production data and implement improvement plans
