We are seeking to appoint a CMM Inspector with industry knowledge and aerospace experience to join our quality team within our machining business at our Stockport (Cheshire) site.

As a CMM Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting jobs at various stages of the machining process (1st off, final inspection, and FAIR inspection) in line with customer requirements, capturing specific measurements as specified.
You will also provide timely feedback to machine operators on product non-conformities, highlight training needs to supervisors, and assist with technical queries.
You will use your experience to seek continuous improvements, identify and resolve issues within your control, and contribute to wider continuous improvement activities.
Preferred Skills
* Excellent communication skills
* Strong team working ethic, proactive and motivated
* Ability to read and interpret 3D models and 2D drawings
* Experience with CMM software (preferably Camio)
* Customer-facing skills with a proactive problem-solving approach
* Good understanding of quality management systems (QMS) in aerospace or automotive industries
* Understanding of AS9100 standards
* FAIRS process experience (preferred)
* Experience with inspection tools and understanding inspection reports
* Knowledge of inspection and manufacturing techniques
* Experience in CNC machining (preferred)
* IT literacy, including SAP, Microsoft Project, Excel, and PowerPoint
* Attention to detail and problem-solving skills (Lean/Six Sigma knowledge preferred)
* Flexibility to work hours as needed
