Teaching Assistants - St Austell
Location: St Austell and surrounding areas
Pay: 85- 100 per day (depending on experience)
Start date: ASAP, whenever you're ready
Contract: Flexible - day-to-day, long-term, or temp-to-perm
Hours: Full-time or part-time, term-time only
We're working with schools around St Austell looking for friendly, reliable Teaching Assistants who want to make a real difference. Whether you've supported children in mainstream or SEN settings, or have experience in other youth roles, this flexible work offers genuine impact.
No formal qualifications needed - a good attitude, patience, and some experience supporting young people (including those with special educational needs) is what counts.
What you'll be doing:
* Supporting pupils 1:1, in small groups, or alongside the teacher
* Helping children stay focused, confident, and engaged
* Assisting pupils with additional needs, including SEN and behavioural challenges
* Working closely with teachers and SEN staff to provide tailored support
* Helping to create a calm, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
We're after someone who:
* Has experience working with children or young people, ideally including SEN
* Is patient, approachable, and proactive
* Can follow routines but also adapt to pupils' varying needs
* Works well within a team and communicates clearly
You'll need:
* Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
* Two references from the last two years
* The right to work in the UK
