About the Role:
You will join our School of Life Sciences, working with academics teaching and conducting world-class research in Forensic Science, Crime and Investigative Studies, Biomedical Science. and Animal and Environmental Biology, based in our Faculty of Science and Engineering. We are a forward-looking and enthusiastic School with a vision that combines commitment to a strong and active research culture with excellence in learning and teaching. You will join are team of highly qualified staff that deliver popular and growing courses in and BSc Crime Investigative Studies and BSc/MSc Forensic Science which are accredited with the Chartered Society of Forensic Science (CSoFS). You will have teaching and research experience in the general areas crime scene investigation and management, evidence recovery, preservation and analysis. You will contribute to undergraduate and post graduate teaching in these subject areas. Applicants who can apply their subject knowledge to teaching in other areas such as Biomedical Science and Environmental biology, are encouraged to apply.
For appointment at the senior lecture level we would expect the applicant to have experience of course leadership/directorship at the discipline level (crime scene investigation). You will be committed to research and prepared to work as part of multidisciplinary teams, as well as developing your personal research activities. Your research will align to the School research strategy ). You will possess excellent communications skills and will demonstrate a flexible approach to work.
