We are looking to appoint a warm, enthusiastic and nurturing Reception Teaching Assistant to join our Early Years team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting young children at the start of their learning journey and helping them to flourish in a safe, engaging and supportive environment.

Start Date: 1st September 2026
Salary: £14.25 - £15 per hour
Key Responsibilities
* Support teaching and learning within the Reception classroom
* Work with individual pupils and small groups to support early literacy, numeracy and phonics
* Assist with play-based and structured learning activities in line with the EYFS framework
* Help to create a stimulating, inclusive and well-organised learning environment
* Support children’s social, emotional and personal development
* Assist with observations, assessments and classroom preparation
* Support pupils with additional needs as required
* Promote positive behaviour and ensure children’s wellbeing at all times
The Ideal Candidate
* Experience working with young children (EYFS experience preferred)
* A caring, patient and positive approach
* A good understanding of early childhood development
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A relevant TA or Early Years qualification (desirable but not essential)
* A commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
