Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide high-quality support to individuals in need of assistance. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for helping others and the ability to create a safe and nurturing environment. Caregivers will be responsible for delivering personal care, companionship, and support to clients in various settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and private homes.
Responsibilities
* Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
* Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition.
* Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
* Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.
* Implement behaviour management techniques as needed to ensure client safety and comfort.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
* Document care provided and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and family members regarding client needs.
* Support clients with dementia care, ensuring their comfort and dignity at all times.
Experience
* Previous experience in home care, nursing homes, or assisted living environments is preferred.
* Familiarity with first aid procedures is advantageous.
* A background in behaviour management will be considered an asset.
* Candidates should possess excellent communication skills and a strong desire to help others in need of care.
