Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Traffic Marshall to oversee and manage the flow of vehicles and pedestrians in designated areas. The ideal candidate will ensure safety and efficiency while maintaining clear communication with drivers and other personnel. This role is crucial in facilitating smooth operations within busy environments, such as construction sites, events, or busy public areas. Must be happy to undergo a enhanced DBS and clearance for this assignment.
Duties
* Direct traffic flow to ensure safe and efficient movement of vehicles and pedestrians.
* Communicate clearly with drivers, providing instructions and guidance as needed.
* Monitor site conditions and report any hazards or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
* Maintain a visible presence to deter unsafe behaviour and enforce site rules.
* Collaborate with management to develop traffic management plans and implement them effectively.
* Assist in the maintenance of signage, barriers, and other equipment related to traffic control.
* Conduct regular checks on equipment used for traffic management to ensure proper functioning.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a similar role or relevant field is preferred.
* Strong management skills with the ability to lead by example.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to relay information effectively.
* A valid driving licence is required; experience driving various vehicles is advantageous.
* Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while remaining focused on safety protocols.
* Strong observational skills with attention to detail for identifying potential hazards.

* Physical in date CSCS card
* Traffic Marshall qualification, either CPCS or NPORS.
