We are seeking an experienced, strategic and highly organised Marketing Manager to lead our marketing function and support the growth and visibility of ISEB’s qualifications. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and deliver marketing strategies that raise awareness, deepen engagement with current and prospective schools, and support schools and parents throughout the customer journey.
Working closely with the Head of Qualifications and Head of Delivery, you will lead on brand development, content strategy, campaign planning, and digital communications, helping to position ISEB as a leader in the independent education sector. You will use data and insight to segment our audience, generate leads, and improve conversion and retention through intelligent and thoughtful marketing strategies.

The Independent Schools Examinations Board (ISEB) provides rigorous, high-quality assessments for independent schools. Backed by the leading independent school associations – GSA, IAPS, and HMC – our qualifications range from the traditional Common Entrance to innovative adaptive digital tests to creative enquiry-based, and interdisciplinary curricula. Key Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver strategic marketing plans that raise awareness of ISEB’s assessments, generate leads and support engagement across the sector.
* Create and execute multi-channel campaigns (digital, print, social, events) to promote new and existing qualifications to schools and parents.
* Work with internal teams and external partners to produce on-brand marketing content and promotional materials.
* Use data and analytics to monitor engagement and performance, refine targeting, and report on marketing impact, lead generation and conversion.
* Build and manage customer personas and use audience insight to improve marketing communications and product positioning.
* Oversee the creation and delivery of digital campaigns including email marketing, social media, and PPC advertising.
* Analyse the market and competitive landscape to identify opportunities and shape ISEB’s messaging and positioning.
* Identify and support attendance at industry events, conferences, and exhibitions, ensuring ISEB’s presence is strategic and on-brand.
* Deliver ISEB’s PR, communications and content strategy, working with the leadership and creative teams to co-create great brand messages about ISEB.
* Champion a customer-centric culture, working closely with the customer service and qualifications teams to ensure the customer experience is consistent and supportive throughout.
* Ensure marketing complies with relevant data and privacy legislation, including GDPR.
Person Specification
* Proven experience in strategic marketing, ideally within education, assessment, or edtech.
* Understanding of the education sector and/or school/FE/HE admissions processes.
* Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
* Experience developing and delivering successful digital and offline campaigns.
* Strong analytical and reporting skills, with experience using data to shape decisions.
* Confident working independently in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
* Skilled in CRM and marketing automation tools (e.g. HubSpot, Mailchimp, FreshSales).
* Familiar with digital marketing platforms (e.g. Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn).
* Proficiency in content platforms such as WordPress; eCommerce or LMS experience a bonus.
* Experience in school marketing or leading admissions.
* Experience with WooCommerce, Academy LMS, or similar platforms.
* Understanding of assessment and qualifications landscape.
The Offer
* Salary £35,000 pa
* Full-time (35 hours/week, flexible), primarily home-based.
* Weekly team day in Ringwood, Hampshire and school visits as required.
