We are currently seeking an Electrician to join our Cargo Logistics Division.
Location
Core Purpose
* Support the coordination of electrical activities to optimise efficiency while maintaining product quality.
* Ensure all on-site work is properly controlled and carried out in accordance with established procedures.
* Collaborate with team members and departments, including regular interaction with managers and team leads across various areas of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
* Work closely with Supervisors to identify, prioritise, and manage workloads effectively.
* Prepare electrical materials and equipment to support operational and project requirements.
* Carry out the installation and commissioning of electrical equipment in both hazardous and non-hazardous areas.
* Perform ongoing maintenance, testing, fault diagnosis, and repair of existing assets, ensuring all associated documentation is completed accurately.
* Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure activities are completed efficiently and within required timescales.
* Provide regular progress updates to the Supervisor or Team Lead regarding job status and completion.
* Undertake offsite and offshore work activities as required.
* Contribute to the management and promotion of HSE practices within own area of responsibility.
* Ensure high standards of quality are maintained within own area of responsibility.
* Liaise with clients, third-party inspectors, and surveyors as required.
Skills and Experience
* Oil and gas industry experience preferred but not essential.
* Ability to interpret electrical drawings accurately to support installation and maintenance of work.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage and prioritise workload effectively.
* Excellent technical expertise and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and communicate potential risks or obstacles to project delivery.
* Strong team player with the ability to work independently and communicate effectively.
* Effective at managing pressure while ensuring timely completion of tasks.
Qualifications
* Fully qualified electrician with certification from an approved body (e.g. SQA, City and Guilds).
* CompEx certified or equivalent recognised qualification.
* Knowledge of IEE Wiring Regulations or equivalent national standards.
