Credit Controller Enfield (Office Based) £35,000–£38,000 Are you an experienced Credit Controller who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building strong customer relationships? Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in managing customer accounts, ensuring outstanding balances are closely monitored and payments are collected promptly. You’ll support the smooth running of the sales ledger, resolve queries efficiently and contribute to maintaining a high standard of service across the finance function. This is a critical position within the business, helping to safeguard cash flow while fostering professional, long-term relationships with customers. Key Responsibilities Proactively manage a portfolio of customer accounts Chase overdue payments via telephone and email Allocate incoming payments accurately within the system Build and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage timely payment Resolve account and payment queries promptly and professionally Support the day-to-day operation of the sales ledger Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in line with company procedures Essential Skills & Experience Proven experience in a high-volume credit control or sales ledger environment Demonstrated ability to secure payment while maintaining positive customer relationships Calm, professional approach to sensitive or challenging conversations Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and priorities Strong communication skills, able to liaise effectively at all levels Comfortable working independently and as part of a team Competent IT skills, including Excel and accounting systems such as Xero, Sage or similar FMCG, distribution or logistics company background desirable The Company This is an opportunity to join a successful and growing distribution business.
