Principal Building Physics Consultant
Location: Bath - Frequent travel to Bristol
Salary: £40,000 - £55,000
A specialised design-led consultancy is looking to hire an outstanding Principal Building Physics Consultant to join their team. The ideal candidate will be committed, confident and passionate about delivering real change .
Key responsibilities:
Conduct and oversee thermal, daylight ventilation and energy modelling. e.g. TM52, TM59, BB101
Be responsible for the mentoring of junior staff, helping them to provide the best consultancy services
Create and review reports, fee proposals, planning support documents
Lead the delivery of sustainable and low carbon design services, lead workshops and provide CPD’s
Effectively liaise with the acoustics to deliver cross-disciplinary designWhat we’re looking for:
A degree in Environmental Design, Building Services or another related field
Experience with Whole-life carbon/ Life cycle assessments
Full UK driving license preferred
Deep understanding of regulations and standards e.g. Part L, TM52, TM59
Proficiency in IES, TAS or the equivalent for daylight/ventilation/energy analysis
A proven record of successfully managing sustainability services across multiple project types.
Excellent communication skills: should be able to carry out presentations, attend client meetings and be driven to carry out marketing and developing relationships with clients.Benefits:
