Posted: 21 September
Offer description

The Scottish Ambulance Service (SAS) is seeking a Community Training & Support Officer to grow and develop our volunteer Community First Responder (CFR) teams across North Argyll, the West Highlands, and Islands.

CFRs are trained volunteers who respond to specific medical emergencies within their communities, providing vital early intervention through basic life support, oxygen therapy, and defibrillation using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). CFRs play a crucial role in complementing SAS's core ambulance resources, particularly in areas where response times may be extended due to geography.

As a Community Training & Support Officer you will:

* Deliver high-quality core training to volunteer CFRs.
* Provide ongoing guidance, welfare and operational support to CFR teams in the North Region.
* Contribute to the planning and implementation of SAS's national Community Resilience agenda.
* Foster strong relationships with local communities and stakeholders to promote volunteer engagement

The ideal candidate should hold a recognised training qualification or possess equivalent relevant experience. You will be a confident communicator and passionate about community empowerment and resilience.

For further information regarding this role please contact Earle Wilson, Community Resilience Team Leader on
