Mencap Cymru is excited to be opening a new supported living service in Llanrwst, Conwy, and is seeking Support Workers to join our team. The service is expected to open in October, and we are offering part-time contracts.
As a Support Worker, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. Your role will involve assisting with daily activities and providing emotional support, playing a vital role in their well-being.
What we're looking for:
* A genuine passion for supporting others.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
* A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
* Hold a full, valid UK driving licence and have access to your own car.
Most services operate 24 hours. Rota schedules are prepared at least 4 weeks in advance to help you plan your personal and social life.
There is an option for a non-contractual sleep-in shift, with an enhanced flat rate payment of £63.70.
All roles require an enhanced DBS check and suitable references, including one from your most recent employer.
Important: You must hold a clean, valid UK driving licence and have access to your own vehicle, as this is essential for the role.
