AtkinsRéalisUK Infrastructure Project Delivery Practice (PDP) is the centre of excellence for the delivery of infrastructure projects and the home unit for our project management staff. The team is responsible for delivering design services across Markets including Water Infrastructure, Defence Infrastructure, Aviation, Energy, Stations, and Urban Developments. These projects may be delivered as single major projects or a programme of smaller projects. Our clients include AWE, Berkeley Homes, BAE Systems, DIO, EDF, Environment Agency, the FCO, Heathrow, Birmingham, London City and Gatwick Airports, High Speed 2, The Metropolitan Police, Scottish Water, Sellafield, Seven Trent Water, St Modwen, Thames Water, Transport for London, and United Utilities.
We have an exciting new opportunity in our Project Delivery Practice for an Associate Director/Senior Project Manager based in our Bristol office. As an Associate Director Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering major multi-disciplinary projects from concept to construction across our expanding portfolio of large and complex projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Successfully delivering projects within scope, schedule, budget, and quality targets, including setting objectives and developing strategies to achieve them, while managing contractual and commercial risks.
* Leading and motivating the project team, facilitating communication among clients, team members, subcontractors, and partners, and ensuring effective coordination.
* Agreeing on commercial arrangements, issuing task orders, and managing procurement processes with internal and external teams, including our Global Delivery Centres in Bangalore and New Delhi.
* Owning and managing the project delivery programme, protecting commercial interests, ensuring accurate invoicing, credit control, and monitoring project financial performance using techniques like Earned Value Management.
* Closing out projects by archiving documentation, updating market information, capturing lessons learned, and conducting client satisfaction surveys.
Requirements:
* Chartered Engineer/Architect or equivalent with experience managing large infrastructure projects involving design, build, or operation.
* Experience across sectors such as Water Infrastructure, Rail, Aviation, Defence, Energy, and Urban Development.
* Knowledge of construction contracts, especially NEC3 or 4.
* Experience managing projects to meet time, cost, and quality objectives, with familiarity in programming and earned value techniques.
* Understanding of BIM and 3D modelling tools for design and coordination, including managing associated information attributes within models.
