We are looking for a Welder to work in a busy manufacturing environment Working hours: 48 hours, Monday to Thursday 06:00am - 18:00pm Salary: £43,230 plus 9% shift allowance Benefits: * Competitive pay * Shift allowance * Overtime available * Pension * Holidays * Long Service awards * Death in Service Purpose of role and accountabilities: Experienced TIG welder required at Gardner aerospace Derby working in our welding department manufacturing components for the aerospace industry. Some job specific training will be available. * TIG welding of Aluminium aircraft components * Adjust sheet parts to fit weld jig * Use Measuring equipment to confirm parts to drawing * Strict adherence to health and safety, and standard operation protocols expected * As part of your role you will be asked to support the Energy team and consider energy reduction and savings within the scope of your role leading to continuous improvement. * Commitment to continual improvement in manufacturing, quality, health, safety environmental, energy and sustainability management. Core skills/attributes needed: * Aluminum welding experience in thin gauge sheet material is required * Ability to understand and work from drawings would be an advantage * Have some fabrication experience using various basic hand tools * Good practical skills * Ability to work in cross-functional teams to deliver parts on time * Problem analysis and decision making * Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques and other modern manufacturing methods * Adhere and follow ISO 50001/14001/45001/9001 procedures
