What you’ll be doing
Reporting directly to the Team Manager, you'll be an integral part of the Technical & Large Loss claims team, responsible for managing large and complex losses to achieve business objectives. Your role will involve supporting and contributing to our claims technical strategy, managing a portfolio of claims with insured perils such as Subsidence, Fire, Storm, Flood, and Escape of Water. You'll deliver initiative claims savings, ensure settlement cost performance, manage large loss emergence, maintain reserve accuracy, and run off to agreed targets for both your own and the departmental portfolio. Meeting or exceeding agreed service level agreements and targets across all classes is essential, utilising operational performance data for efficiency. You'll engage and manage suppliers, ensuring adherence to policy and contractual terms, while also supporting the Large Loss Leader as the principal Subject Matter Expert for large and complex Property & Liability claims.

2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to accurately record and communicate information using applicable systems
3. Demonstrated focus on growing technical expertise relevant to T&LL claims, staying informed about industry trends and best practices
4. Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team, department, and across wider claims areas to achieve collective goals
