We are currently looking to recruit a Paralegal on a full-time basis for an 18-month fixed term contract, based at our Liverpool Headquarters. Reporting to the Head of Legal, you will help to deliver a responsive, business-facing legal service across multiple areas of the business. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially-focused paralegal looking to develop broad in-house experience in a busy team of two solicitors. Vitaflo operates a hybrid working policy, subject to role requirements and business needs.
What will you do?
As a Paralegal, your main responsibilities will be
Contracting & Transaction Support
Draft, review and manage a range of standard commercial agreements (e.g. NDAs and service agreements)
Support contract lifecycle management, including execution, storage and tracking
Maintain and update legal templates and databases
Legal Operations & Process Efficiency
Support the operation and implementation of legal systems and tools (e.g. contract management, e-signature platforms)
Assist with improving legal processes to enhance efficiency and consistency
Maintain organised legal records and ensure robust audit trails
Business support
Act as a first point of contact for routine legal queries from internal stakeholders
Work closely with Commercial, R&D, Supply Chain, Finance and HR teams to support day-to-day legal needs
Support training and guidance to the business on legal and compliance matters
Maintain the international registered trade mark portfolio, with support from Vitaflo's parent company, ensuring alignment with brand managers
Compliance Support
Advise and support employees to comply with relevant laws and internal policies (e.g. business integrity, GDPR)
Support the ESG officer with initiatives (e.g. DEI, sustainability compliance, PPWR) and related audits.
Administrative Support
Coordinate with external counsel where required
Support work planning, budgeting and invoice management
Who are we looking for?
You will have:
Essential skills/experience
Previous experience in a paralegal or legal assistant role (in-house or private practice)
Strong understanding of commercial contracts
Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Confident using legal technology and Microsoft Office tools
Desirable skills/experience
Experience of intellectual property law
Knowledge of the healthcare or pharma sectors
