I’m currently working with a busy and well-established property business in Shepherd’s Bush who are looking to add a Tenancy Accounts & Property Management Administrator to their team.
This is a great opportunity for someone with around 2+ years’ experience in tenancy accounting or property management who enjoys a varied role combining client interaction, financial administration, and property management responsibilities.
The Role
You’ll play a key role in managing tenancy accounts while supporting the wider property management function. Responsibilities will include:
Tenancy Accounting
* Allocating reservation fees and collecting rent payments
* Authorising landlord rent payments
* Processing contractor expenses
* Setting up new tenancies accurately on the system
* Preparing landlord statements and invoices
* Weekly contractor and agent fee payments
* Managing deposit transfers and repayments
* Chasing rent arrears and unpaid landlord invoices
* Daily banking reconciliation and payment processing
* Handling Non-Resident Landlord tax retention and HMRC submissions
* Preparing annual landlord tax statements and assisting with audit processes
Property Management
* Instructing contractors for routine maintenance
* Organising gas safety and electrical safety inspections
* Arranging property inspections and issuing reports
* Managing check-outs, dilapidations and deposit negotiations
* Handling housing licence applications
* Negotiating tenancy renewals and preparing documentation
* Supporting emergency repairs on an out-of-hours basis when required
What We’re Looking For
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in tenancy accounting and/or property management
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Excellent communication skills (face-to-face and telephone)
* Confident working in a client-facing environment
* Experience with Alto software is desirable but not essential
Package
* £35,000 basic salary
* Opportunity to earn commission through Rental Protection Insurance sales
* 20 days holiday + 8 bank holidays
* Christmas Eve off + 3 days between Christmas and New Year
* Company pension (3% employer / 5% employee)
