Design and build advanced applications for the PayPoint Android platform of IoT devices Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, test and ship new features Work with outside data sources and APIs Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability Build automated functional and performance tests Work on bug fixing and improving application performance Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency What would we like from you? Proven software development experience and Android skills development including design for variable screen sizes and developments across versions of Android (starting with Android 4.4) Understanding of Google's Android design principles and interface guidelines Working knowledge of the general mobile/tablet landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications Experience with Android SDK Proven working experience in Android app development including proficiency in Java, Kotlin, or Go. Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON Experience with third-party libraries and APIs Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks Strong experience of IoT and smart devices. Agile (Scrum, Kanban) environment experience, TDD/Unit Testing, Continuous Integration - or a passion to work with these methods BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle. Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements What else do we look for?
