Job Title: Site Supervisor
Location: Aberdeen, Inverness and Highlands
Reporting To: Reporting into the Senior Operations Manager
Key Job Function: To optimise performance through the effective management of projects from allocation by the Commercial team to completion.
Job Description
Accountabilities
1. Site Supervisor – EV Charging Hubs
· Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the standards, policies and procedures of M&M Limited and its customers
· Manage multiple and/or major projects safely, competently, and effectively to time and budget.
· Ensure project meets all current legislation HASAWA, NRSWA C.O.S.H.H. etc.
· Ensure teams are working in a safe manner to the correct standard or workmanship
· Undertake inspections daily / weekly inline with the company processes, report all findings to QSHE department
· Conduct TBT's which are prepared by the QSHE team, identify potential learning areas for new TBT's to be provided.
2. Health and Safety
· Implement M&M's, and customers, safety rules, instructions, standing orders and procedures.
· Prepare Putting people to work processes / paperwork and ensure delivery to the working teams.
· Actively monitor teams within your line management responsibility.
· Ensure Point of Work Risk Assessments are carried out at daily
· Ensure that all statutory records, certificates, licenses, notifications and notices are in place.
· Conduct site safety inspections and complete associated paperwork.
· Ensure that accidents and near misses and suitably reported, recorded and investigated and that remedial action is carried out promptly.
· Report any concerns regarding SHE to the SHE team and your Regional Manager.
3. Planning and organising
· Ensure materials are available for the working teams within a timely manner.
· Ensure adequate labour, plant and materials are available for the task
4. People
· Work with teams to ensure safe, effective and efficient implementation of M&M's operations.
· Contribute to wider team: advise, share knowledge and experience based on expertise.
· Liaise with colleagues across M&M's organisation to ensure effective completion of tasks.
· Manage and review performance of staff reporting to you and identify training needs.
5. Customer
· Represent M&M to customers and individuals from other companies.
· Establish and maintain good relationships with customers and other external parties.
· Deal with all issues arising including investigation and resolution of customer complaints.
6. Quality
· Implement M&M's approach to Quality in all you do and complete all work to high standards.
· Identify and implement areas of improvement in M&M's processes and operations.
· Ensure working practices and processes are followed.
· Ensure all ITP's are completed to the correct standard
Qualifications
Degree or equivalent in electrical engineering (or demonstrable level of achievement through experience)
Qualification in Project Management
Certificated in the following areas:
· First Aid · Manual Handling
· Health and Safety awareness
· Driving
· NRASWA
Experience
Experienced in managing teams of operatives within the highways.
Skills and expertise
Good people management skills.
Computer literate – skilled in use of Excel spreadsheets and Microsoft Project.
Sound knowledge of H&S and its practical implications.
Knowledge of CDM regulations.
Knowledge of HAUC
