Payment Services Analyst
Location: Edinburgh City Centre
Salary: £26,000 - £28,000
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
About the Role
We are recruiting for a Payment Services Analyst to join a dynamic operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or develop their career in financial operations. While experience in financial services or a similar environment would be advantageous, this role is also suitable for recent graduates with strong analytical and organisational skills.
Key Responsibilities
Process client payment instructions accurately and on time.
Handle Sterling and foreign currency payments using standard mechanisms (e.g., Faster Payments, CHAPS, SWIFT).
Perform reconciliations and support treasury functions, including foreign exchange and money market deals.
Implement fraud prevention measures across all payment types.
Ensure service level agreements are met and contribute to process improvements and change projects.
Provide support and cover for colleagues when required.
What We're Looking For
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
Good computer literacy and keyboard skills.
A proactive team player with a desire to learn and develop.
Previous experience in banking or payment processing is desirable but not essential.
