About the Role
Location: Southmoor, Hampshire
Hours: 37 per week (Mon–Thurs 9:30–17:30, Fri 9:30–17:00)
Contract: Permanent, Full Time
On-call: Yes (rota-based)
Belmont Recruitment is working with a leading domestic abuse charity to recruit a Deputy Service Manager (Children & Young People’s Service) to support and manage frontline staff, deliver high-quality outreach services, and contribute to safeguarding, training, and service development across Hampshire.
This role is trauma-informed and focused on empowering children, young people, and families affected by domestic abuse. You will work closely with statutory and voluntary partners, ensuring safe, effective, and innovative services while supporting staff development and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities

Support the Service Manager to develop, manage and monitor children and young people’s services
*
Provide leadership, supervision, and coaching to frontline teams
*
Deliver and oversee one-to-one, group work, and workshops for children and young people
*
Ensure safeguarding, risk management, and compliance with policies and legislation
*
Work in partnership with Social Care, Education, Police, Health, and voluntary agencies
*
Participate in the 24/7 on-call rota, providing crisis support and refuge admissions
About You
You will have experience managing staff, delivering services to children, young people, and families affected by domestic abuse, and working in partnership with multi-agency teams. You are confident, organised, and able to lead and motivate teams while maintaining high-quality service delivery.
Essential Requirements

Minimum 2 years’ line management experience
*
Experience providing emotional and practical support to children, young people, and families affected by domestic abuse
*
Strong safeguarding knowledge and trauma-informed practice
*
Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
*
Full UK driving licence and access to a car
*
Willingness to work flexibly, including on-call duties
