Here at Kerry, we're currently recruiting for a Quality Technician on a 12 month fixed term basis (with possibility of longer extension) to join our team in Runcorn, Cheshire.
This is a varied position, responsible for quality testing raw materials with additional Quality administration requirements.
The position is full time, Monday to Friday, offering a flexible start and finish time in line with site operating hours (39 hours per week total).
To be successful, you will be able to demonstrate experience in a similar position and be a methodical worker with impeccable IT skills.
Key responsibilities
1. Practical experience within a food/pharma or chemical manufacturing Laboratory environment
2. Knowledge of QC testing equipment and methods, (preferably including GC and GC-MS)
3. Proficient use of Microsoft Office (Particularly Excel)
4. Ability to prioritise own workload in accordance with business needs.
5. Strong problem solving/mathematical skills
6. High level of accuracy/attention to detail.
7. Organoleptic assessment ability - odour and flavour evaluation (will include alcohol and some allergenic materials)
8. Ability to act on own initiative, working alone or in a team environment
9. Confidence and ability to make decisions
10. Ability to work well and keep a clear focus under pressure
11. An investigative mind with proven problem solving skills and a passion to identify the root cause of non-conformities.
